Abstract

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is a rare semi-malignant characterized tumor, derived from dermal fibroblasts, and mostly localized in the trunk. It is often seen in group of middle-age. It is characterized with one or more raised, hard, erythemathos, sometimes painful nodules. Over time, it turns to plaques, and can be ulcerated. A twenty-two-year-old male, with numerous asymptomatic papules above the right scapula, admitted to our clinic. The lesion had started as a small papule about two years ago, and the patient had used topical cortisone medications. With clinical and histopathological findings the present case was diagnosed as dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. As a rare disease, the case was discussed in the light of literature.
