Behçet’s disease; genetic association, polymorphism

Abstract

It is known that genetic variations are associated with some diseases and increase developing of some diseases while decrease some of them. The recent studies show that genetic polymorphisms have a role on susceptibility and prognosis of Behçet’s disease (BD). Knowing the polymorphisms associated with BD and the side of these associations will be useful for explaining the pathogenesis of the disease and to develop more effective therapies. In this review we aimed to overview the recent studies investigated the polimorphisms which may have a role in BD in Turkish population.
