Abstract

Although uncommon in clinical practice, nonparasitic cyst of the liver has not been understood completely regarding to their etiology, classification and management. Much has written on this subject are still controversial. in this article, a case of congenital nonparasitic hepatic cyst treated by wide •unroofing• which has been proposed currently in literature is presented. We reviewed and discussed classification and management of congenital nonparasitic hepatic cyst. in addition, a suggested plan for surgical management of patients with congenital nonparasitic hepatic cyst is presented.
