Abstract

Dear Colleagues,

It is my great pleasure to announce the October 2014 issue of Gaziantep Medical Journal (GMJ). We sincerely apologize for the delay in the publication of the current issue due to the change of the editorial team. As you may have already seen from the journal’s website, a new editorial team has taken over the duty. On behalf of the editorial team, I would like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to the former editorial team; Prof. Tuncay Demiryürek (Chief-editor), Prof. Vedat Davutoğlu (Assoc. Editor), and Assoc. Prof. Yusuf Ziya İğci (Assoc. Editor) for their invaluable contribution and the great success in the management of the Journal. The members of new editorial team; Prof. Piraye Kervancıoğlu, Prof. Osman Başpınar, Prof. İlker Seçkiner and Assoc. Prof. Z. Abidin Öztürk will cover manuscripts in area of basic medical sciences, paediatrics, surgery and medicine, respectively. The Biostatistical Editor, Assoc. Prof. Seval Kul and English Language Editor Prof. M. Nizar Akil continue doing their job as was before. Unfortunately, we experienced some delay and disruptions in handling and processing manuscripts submitted to the journal since August 2014, because of the procedure in change of the editorial team. However, we promise to serve the fastest review process for your valuable manuscripts submitted to GMJ from now on. Therefore, we sincerely encourage you to send your manuscripts and keep your kind interest in the Journal. We hope you will enjoy of reading interesting research papers as well as the case reports published in the present issue of GMJ. We look forward to meeting you with the next issue in the first days of 2015.
